Tailgate Cookie Ideas

No matter what team you’re pulling for this season these cookies can add a little bit of extra-ness that every tailgate needs! The tiger ones were made per request by my boyfriend so those can totally be left out… unless you’re a fellow Clemson fan! Below I will share step by step how I created these!

Stadium Inspired Cookies: I’m always completely honest with you guys so to start off, these cookies are pre-made and store bought! I know I’m terrible! I’m the worst when it comes to baking so whatever saves me time is the way I’m going! Ok ok let’s get into the steps now! 1. Apply white icing to half of the cookie. 2. Cover that in sprinkles of choice. I used rainbow because that seemed more realistic to me! 3. Apply green icing to the other half of cookie and let that dry. 4. Once dried grab the white icing again and make strips going from the top to bottom of green icing to give the illusion of field lines! 5. Serve and enjoy!

Tiger cookies: 1. Coat cookie in white icing. 2. While still wet dip in orange sprinkles so they will stick better. 3. Use the same white icing from before to “glue” M&Ms to top of cookies on two sides to create to look of ears. 4. Continue process for eyes and nose. For the nose I used mini Nilla Wafers. 5. Use black decorating gel to draw a nose, mouth, and some strips!! 6. Let dry and serve!

$20 David Yurman Bracelet

You read that right! $20!! It’s October which means it’s Breast Cancer awareness month, and in honor of that DY has partnered with the BCRF to help support this foundation. They have two different size options in the classic cable and they offer different sizes for your wrists! $16 out of the $20 will be donated to BCRF! I ordered my Aunt and I matching ones and I can’t wait to surprise her with it!!

Three Important Lessons I’ve Learned In My Almost 20 Years Of Life

1. Sometimes self-care is a good face and hair mask, teeth whitening strips, and binge-watching your favorite TV show!

2. It’s not possible to be logical and emotional at the same time! Don’t make big decisions when you’re emotional!!

3. Don’t be so hard on yourself! No one knows what they’re doing, we’re all just doing the best with what we know!

Be kind to yourself and remember you are loved, beautiful, and worthy! Have a great weekend!

Get To Know Me

Hi!! I’m Alex! Through this blog, I want to share inspiration to women who love fashion, decor, beauty, and lifestyle. I’ll be answering questions honestly with no filter! Hope you enjoy!

I’m 19 years old! I’ll be 20 on January 6th. I’m a South Carolina girl, born and raised! I am a girlfriend, a sister, a daughter, and most importantly, a believer in Christ.

As of December 30th I will have been with my best friend, Thomas, for a year and a half. He is 8 years older than I am! Don’t worry… there will be plenty of blogs in the future about him! He is one in a million!! Anyone that has met my boyfriend, Thomas, will agree that he is the most loving, caring, and honest man and I’m so grateful the Lord brought us together.

I am currently in college, but plan on pursuing my love for skincare and makeup next year by enrolling in Esthetician School! I was on accutane for 6 months and the confidence I obtained after finishing my treatment was life changing! I want to be able to help women (and men) find the confidence and true beauty within themselves. However, I truly believe that beauty and security are found in Christ alone!

I hope that my blog can help you find a little more confidence and see yourself as the amazing person you are!

Current Makeup Routine

Happy Monday! I hope everyone is having a great day! Makeup is one of my favorite things to do! It keeps me motivated and feeling good! I wanted to share my favorite products I have been using lately!

Also, my two FAV products are included in the picture! Rare Beauty Liquid Blush! I use shade “Happy” + it’s only $20!! KKW Creme Contour Stick! It applies and blends out so smoothly! I can’t stand the creme contour sticks that have you pounding on your face FOREVER!!!

Eyes and Brows:

I apply Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear concealer on my eyelids and set with Laura Mercier Translucent Powder. After allowing that time to bake and prevent creasing I apply eyeshadow. I switch between the NARS Summer Solstice pallet and KKW Classic pallet. For eyeshadow on the lid of my eye I use Chanel Longwear Cream Eyeshadow in shade Scintillance. Instead of using a liquid liner I have been loving the look of applying a dark eyeshadow in replacement of that! For mascara I switch between IT Cosmetics Superhero and Bobbi Brown No Smudge Mascara. All I use for my brows is a dark color from an eyeshadow pallet to fill them in and Maybelline Brow Fast Sculpt Eyebrow Enhancer in shade medium brown.

Face:

For my face I always start out with e.l.f. Poreless Putty Primer. My go to foundation right now is IT Cosmetics CC + Cream with SPF 50. For concealer I use Laura Mercier. I place this under my eyes, chin, middle of nose, and forehead. Before baking I apply one dot of Rare Beauty Blush on the apples of my cheek and KKW creme contour on my cheek bones and forehead. I apply Laura Mercier Translucent Powder on all the places I applied concealer and under my contour to carve it out! All of the places I put creme contour I go over it with the Dior Backstage Contour Pallet with the lightest shade. On top of that I apply Hoola Bronzer. I wipe away all of the excess powder left from baking before applying highlight. I switch between Dior Backstage Glow Face Pallet in Glitz and Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder Compact in shade 01. Lastly, I spray Makeup Revolution Fix and Glow Fixing Spray over my face.

Lips:

I’m constantly switching up lipsticks but some of my favorites are any liners and lipsticks by KKW and YSL lipsticks! All go on so good and last allll day!!

I hope you found this to be helpful and have a great rest of the week!!!

Let’s Talk Hair

Let’s do exactly what the caption says and talk hair! What better time to start than with my first post! Hope you enjoy!

Hair Masks

I ALWAYS use a hair mask before washing my hair, but depending on what kind of repair I’m wanting I switch them up. These are my current favorites:

Shampoo and Conditioner

I like to use a good shampoo that repairs and protects my hair. I get my hair bleached so it needs all the help it can get! I’ve tried plenty and this is my top pick!

Shine Rinse

Once a week I apply the Matrix Total Results High Amplify Shine Rinse. This leaves my hair feeling silky, smooth and gives allll the shine!

After Wash Must-haves

Microfiber towels are highly absorbent and cuts my drying time in half!! Plus prevents breakage… a double win!!
After letting my hair sit in the towel while I get ready I spray the Milk Shake Leave In Conditioner to make brushing easier and less stressful on my hair.
I then mix both Olaplex 6 and 7 together to apply to my hair focusing on the middle to ends of my hair.
Before drying I like to apply the Moroccanoil Heat Protectant.
After drying and styling I always finish off with adding Moroccanoil to my ends ONLY!

Texture

Depending on what style hair I’m going for I occasionally use texturing spray or powder. These are the two I alternate between.

Hairsprays

My forever go to hairspray!! I cannot live without this stuff!!

Dry Shampoo

I’m constantly on the hunt for a steal on dry shampoos and I found the perfect one from T.J.Maxx! It doesn’t leave a white residue and leaves my hair smelling AMAZING!!

Pillowcase

Silk pillowcases have changed my hair game!! They are so gentle on your hair, plus feels so good on your skin!! This is the exact one I have! The fun prints make them even better!

What are your favorite hair care products? I’m clearly a huge fan of products, so leave me a comment and let me know what you love! I’d love to try them out!!
